SNEAK PEAK – The Versace H & M Collection!
Versace’s collaboration with H&M is set to launch November 19, and we have exclusive pics of what to expect from the highly anticipated collaboration. The Versace x H&M features iconic pieces from the 80s that pay homage to the Italian fashion giant’s late founder, Gianni Versace, and the brand’s dynamic legacy. In a promotional video for the line Donatella Versace explains:
“For me this is an opportunity to show to a very very big audience what Versace has been and what Versace is now.
As a designer I look at the future–I never look at the past, but being the sister of Gianni, the DNA is Versace and I’m going to use iconic Versace pieces of iconic Versace moments which are not exactly always the past but also the present.
The amazing discounted line will feature approximately 40 pieces for women, 20 for men including accessories and even home ware with the same floral prints true to the Versace asthetic. Donatella also told Vogue’s Hamish Bowles that the H&M line was ‘the essence of Versace’ and the collection would be comprised of the Italain brand’s ‘greatest hits.’”
Although H&M has collaborated with iconic designers in the past, including Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Lanvin, could the Versace collabo be the best?
