Check Out Our Latest Sponsored Artist... Bernadette Kathryn
We are proud to announce our latest sponsored artist, Bernadette Kathryn. She is a young, highly-motivated, energetic, classically trained singer and songwriter who performs throughout the Midwest. She has been wowing crowds with her strong vocals since she was 5 years old. She plays the guitar and piano and has been invited to sing at vocal competitions, charity and fundraising events, and city and county festivals for the last 5 years. In 2012 at the age of 12, Bernadette Kathryn started writing and recording her own music starting with her original song “Look at Me Now” which is about the issues she faced in school when she was bullied about her music. She turned that song into a music video with the help of 40 students from 9 different school districts. This music video can be found on YouTube with over 30,000 views. It has won the Channel 4 Click on Detroit and Sam Bernstein Award for Putting an End to Bullying. She was also invited to be a part of the Tunes for Tots Worldwide fundraising division for several children’s charities including the Make a Wish Foundation.. In 2013, Bernadette Kathryn was invited to sing at the Nashville Palace, in Nashville, Tennessee, during the Country Music Awards Festival. She quickly shifted gears from Pop and Show Tunes to Country Music. Not wanting to arrive in Nashville empty handed, she co-wrote and recorded “I Got the Fire” about the drive that it takes to pursue a career in Country Music in Nashville. In 2014, Bernadette Kathryn released her EP titled “Not Too Young”. “Not Too Young” has 5 original songs, “Everytime I Hear Your Name,” “I Got the Fire,” “Not Too Young,” “He Better Run,” and “Lonely.” Plus a bonus track of “Look at Me Now.” The song “Everytime I Hear Your Name” was turned into a music video dedicated to her late grandmother with a Don’t Text and Drive theme.
Keep your eyes and ears out for this young artist! She's got drive and a vision to bring awareness through her music.
